Isabel Forman BVSc Cert AVP MRCVS
Clinical Director
Leading the team at Beechwood is Isabel, who qualified from the University of Bristol in 2006. Isabel started in small animal and equine work and since 2008 has been in Staffordshire as a small animal vet. She moved to Beechwood in May 2013 as clinical director and is enjoying the challenges of vet work and managing the practice – and feeling lucky she has such a great team. Isabel has gained an RCVS Certificate in Advanced Animal Practice and also has an interest in ultrasound. Animals are a big part of her life outside of work too as Isabel can often be found riding horses (so far she has bred four foals) or at home with Heidi and Amber the cheeky Border Terriers and Wilma the rescue cat.

Katy Syrett MA (Cantab) VetMB MRCVS
Kate joined Beechwood in January 2018. After graduating from Cambridge University in June 2014, Kate started out in farm animal practice. She spent the first three and a half years of her career in farm animal work, and she really enjoyed the experience. However she wanted a new challenge and indoor working and has come back to carry on her career in small animal practice at Beechwood. With a great team around her Kate is looking to develop her small animal skills and has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and obstetrics. When she’s not working Kate enjoys playing hockey, walking her dog Jake and exploring the countryside with her fiance, Pete.

Apryl Thompson BVSc MRCVS
Apryl graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015. She initially started her career working near her home town, in the New Forest, before travelling up north and joining Beechwood. She has always loved small animals and has a particular interest in cardiology and internal medicine, which she hopes to pursue throughout her career. In Apryl’s spare time, she loves to visit friends and family and especially enjoys working at a farm at home, where she’s kept on her toes during lambing and calving season. She also tries to keep as active as possible, and when not walking her dogs, you can find her running cross-country or on a hockey pitch.
