Clare Harrison RVN
Beechwood’s trusted head veterinary nurse Clare has been at the practice since 2002. With nearly 20 years of experience, Clare welcomes new challenges and readily takes on additional roles. This wealth of experience is perfect for her clinical coach duties whereby she oversees the trainee veterinary nurses at Beechwood. Clare thrives on all aspects of veterinary nursing and this passion is portrayed during her school outreach programmes where she teaches young children about animal care. Her husband, two daughters, two cats and cheeky Beagle make for a hectic homestead and yet there is nothing that she enjoys more than spending time with the family.
Louise Cadman RVN
Louise is one of our most experienced nurses, having qualified in 2000 from Rodbaston College and nursing thousands of animals over the last 20 years. Her clinical interests are diverse with specialties in both nursing clinics and surgical nursing. Outside of work Louise can be found caravan camping or at the local football pitches as her sons are very sporty. She has always lived in Alsager and is raising a family there now with her husband and two children. Rounding out the family are Johnny the tortoise, Lionel the bearded dragon, several guinea pigs, and a crazy Bull Terrier named Badger.
Ella Clarke RVN
Ella qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in August 2018. She has special interest in inpatient care and would eventually like to become a hydrotherapist. Ella has lived in Newcastle-under-Lyme her whole life and her hobbies include socialising with friends, horse riding and walking her Cockapoo, Peanut. She also has a cat called Loki and two degus called Teddy and Charlie. Ella has previously worked as a fitness instructor and still enjoys keeping fit in her spare time, even if this means walking around the shops!
Student Veterinary Nurse
Hannah joined Beechwood Vets after working in various other veterinary practices previously. Her favourite part of being a student veterinary nurse is the medical side, which mainly includes caring for the inpatients. She finds it rewarding when the patients go home fully recovered, knowing that she has helped nursed them back to health. Outside of work, Hannah has a crazy Cocker Spaniel named Tilly. She keeps Hannah busy as she’s always on the go and never tires out. Hannah also loves music and can occasionally be found performing in a musical locally. She love working with animals and couldn’t think of a better job to be in.
